Choose what starts an automation

You can now start automations from clear triggers—the moment something happens that should kick off a flow, such as a purchase, a join, a form completion, or a card link. Ideal when you want follow-up to run itself without watching the list after every shift.

Pick a trigger in the flow builder, then narrow it with Filters so only the right customers enter—by group, profile details, location, products on a sale, or journey stage. Different trigger types expose different filter sets; scheduled runs apply when you use For customers already in this group.

Go to Automations → New Automation (or Automations → Flow), set Applies to customers, choose a trigger, expand Filters, then add your actions. Review related release notes for each major trigger type when you want the filter checklist for that event.
