Limit which events actually start an automation

Restrict which events trigger automations.

You can now narrow automations to specific products, locations, groups, or metadata—so one trigger type does not message everyone indiscriminately. We introduced filters because a single "sale completed" trigger was firing for every guest at every location, and operators needed finer control without building duplicate flows.

Filters are set when you create the automation and editable in the flow builder; they persist on save. A promo credit can apply only to entree buyers, a welcome only to guests who joined at a specific location, or a win-back only to members of a particular group—all from one trigger type with different filter sets.

When choosing a trigger, expand Filters and set your conditions before adding actions. Review filters whenever you change locations, menus, or group structure so existing flows still target the right guests.
